Montserrat Arreguin joins the lab!

We are thrilled to welcome Montserrat from the Immunology graduate group to the lab! Montserrat received her bachelors degree from the University of El Paso Texas before starting at Penn. We are so lucky to welcome her to the group!

Where are you from? I was born in Mexico in a small town called Tepalcatepec in the state of Michoacan. I completed most of my school in the capital, Morelia. In 2014, we moved to El Paso, Texas, where I completed my last year of high school and undergraduate degree. Then I moved to Philly for my Ph.D.!

What’s on your in-the-zone playlist? My in-the-zone playlist changes constantly, but I love having songs that I can dance, run or do chores! Some of my favorites are Selena Quintanilla, Camilo, and the Hamilton soundtrack!

What is a non-science goal you hope to accomplish before you graduate? I would love to run the 10-mile Broad Street Run!
